Boston Terrier dogs are small, square face, with erect ears. They originally bred for fighting, but later used for companionship. They are generally well-mannered dogs, they enjoy being around people.

Although they originated from terrier group, they are not considered terriers by the American Kennel Club. Many still retain the typical terrier quality.
