This breed is known to love children and they are excellent as family dogs. They want to be close to their family whenever possible. They get along with other dogs as well.

They need many activities and contact with their owner to keep them occupied. This breed is not the right choice for those who just want to leave their dog alone.
Caring Your Keeshond Dog
Keeshond dog blows its coat twice a year, it shed the undercoats completely during an intense shedding period. During this season, a Keeshond should be groomed once or twice a week to facilitate rapid removal of the dead undercoat.
Keeshon should not be clipped or shaved, because it will cause detrimental effects. The coat may grow back with a coarse texture, or muddy coloration, a tendency to mat. The coat is essential for protection against weather, insects, and fleas.
Keeshon dog does well with an active family in a city, suburban or rural home.
