Rhodesian Ridgeback is originated from Zimbabwe
Size: max: 27 inches(H) and 85 pounds(W), female is smaller
Color: light wheaten and red wheaten
Coat: dense, short and glossy
Personality: athletic, watchful, intelligent, devoted, fun-loving, reserved around strangers
Care: weekly brushing, bathe at least twice a year
Known health problem: juvenille cataracts, hypothyroidism, dermoid sinuses
Group: hound dogs

Good with children? yes, but because of size difference with toddlers, adult needs to supervise
Good with other pets? yes with other dogs, but they may treat small pets as prey


Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs are easygoing, alert and dependable. They neeed regular daily exercise. Puppies need to be socialize early on, and basic obedience training is necessary to establish good behavior.
