Yorkshire Terrier, often called "Yorkie", is one of the most popular breeds in the US. They belong to toy group because of its small size. Generally, they are courageous, active, intelligent, and retain their terrier ancestry personality.

Their long coat require hours of brushing, so most owners keep the coat short. They are suitable for apartment dogs. Yorkies carry less dander on their coat so they do not have that distinc odor when wet. This is a good option for people who suffer from dog-related allergies.

Because of their independent nature, it takes more patience to train a yorkie.
